As leaders in pet services in the San Jose Area animal community, WAGTOPIA has built a strong reputation based on honesty, professional service and exceptional customer service. At WAGTOPIA we know that only the best will suffice for your beloved pet and we continually strive to ensure our dedicated staff are trained in the best methods of pet care so your pet enjoys their time with their Care Provider. Care and comfort matter to us as much as it matters to you and your pets. This is why, here at Wagtopia, we are dedicated to working with you and your family to ensure our quality of service.
Our depth of experience is really what sets us apart from other Santa Clara pet sitters. We strive to hire only Care Providers with a veterinary background or those who have professional animal experience for at least 5 years. This way our sitters have experience with a variety of both normal and abnormal animal behaviours. We are very easily able to tell what the important warnings signs are and make sure that an ailing pet receives appropriate and immediate attention if needed. This gives us an advantage over friends and neighbours as well as boarding facilities and kennels, which are often crowded.
Meet the Staff
During our time in operation we have been able to establish a fair list of satisfied pet owners in the Santa Clara area who return to us again and again when they want to go away on a vacation, need their pets checked up on and dogs walked, or would like some advice when it comes to adopting a new pet. Wagtopia is able to offer our customers piece of mind that their pet is safe and happy when they need to travel or require some training when raising a puppy. We take great pride in the fact that so many Santa Clara pet owners feel they can trust us with providing reliable care to their loved ones.
Scott – Founder and Care Provider
My name is Scott Martin and I am a pet and animal devotee. I have experience both professionally and personally caring for a wide variety of animals. Most of my time, both on and off work, you can find me with my terrier mix and little shadow, Arizona. As much as we both love trips to the beach and hikes in the Redwoods, lazy days spent in the sunspot of our living room can be just as pleasurable. My professional experience consist of: Veterinary Assistant, Pet Sitter, years of operating a high capacity doggie daycare and boarding facility, as well as being an instructor through Pet Tech to train the public in Pet First Aid and CPR. I have a special interest in timid and aggressive pets that other sitters and facilities have turned away. After spending much of my life working with animals of all kinds in many different environments, I recognized how significant it is to trust someone to take care of your pets, have faith in them during a time of an emergency, and on top of that, expect them to show your pets as much love and affection as you do. Realizing this, I knew instantly what I wanted to do, and in 2013, Wagtopia was founded. A company that promises to improve the quality of life for your pets during the times you cannot be there for them. A company consisting of caring animal enthusiasts who work in the Veterinary Community striving to give your pets the comfort they love and you the piece of mind well deserved.
Ally – Dog Trainer and Care Provider
My name is Ally and I am an animal enthusiast by nature and by trade. I’ve had an undying love and appreciation for all animals my entire life and started making it a career move once old enough to do so. With professional experience as: a kennel tech, vet tech, dog trainer, bather, and pet sitter as well as having an associate’s degree in animal training and management, I am dedicated to helping make animals as happy and healthy as possible. My qualifications are: AS degree in animal training and management. Experience working with multiple species of animals, such as: dogs, cats, ferrets, sugar gliders, various other small mammals, reptiles, hoofstock, and birds. Tessa – Care Provider
I have been around animals my entire life. Growing up as a child, I have always had a various range of pets such as cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents and even amphibians. I have always known that working with animals is something that I was going to do. I have been in the vet community for going on 9 years now. I began as a Kennel Attendant my first year and worked my way up to Vet Tech work for the following 8 years. I was introduced to pet sitting when I volunteered to care for some animals during a time the vet clinic I work at was full and unable to board any more pets that weekend. After 4 years of pet sitting and building countless long lasting relationship with my clients, I can honestly say I love what I do. I have experienced and am comfortable administrating medications and fluids, dog walking, daily visits, as well as overnight care at the pet’s home. I have a 10 year old Retriever Mix named Gryphon who is by my side one hundred percent of the time. I am looking forward to meeting new clients and their pets.
Wyatt – Care Provider
I have been a Veterinary Technician for four years, a professional dog handler for seven years, and animal lover, advocate and enthusiast my entire life. I am experienced and comfortable around any and all types of animals, with a wealth of experience and knowledge with cats and dogs in particular. Almost a year ago, I was lucky enough to rescue a three week old kitten named Digger who grew up hitching a ride on my shoulder, and he’s been there ever since. One day I will have a Boxer dog for myself and all will be right with the world.
